KRAKEN & SIREN Juniors Touring Tryout - Open and Female-Matching Divisions
Waterloo Regions Open Touring Team, Kraken will be returning for the 2026 season and we are hoping to also launch Siren, our regions first Female-Matching Juniors Touring Team to also compete across the province.
We will be hosting 2 tryouts this Spring. There is no fee to tryout and participants are welcome to register for both tryouts.
Tryout 1: Saturday, April 4th @ RIM Park Indoor turf field from 1pm - 4pm (map)
Tryout 2: Saturday April 11th @ RIM Park outdoor turf field AF#2 from 8:30am to 11:30am (map)
Who is Eligible: All players who are born after December 31, 2008
- What to bring: Please bring appropriate footwear for either turf or grass. If bringing cleats, metal studs are not allowed. Bring plenty of water. Please bring both a light and a dark shirt that can go over your clothing for scrimmages. Feel free to bring a frisbee from home, but be sure your name is on it.
Season schedule: Practices will be held on Wednesdays, from May 13, 2026 to August 19th, 2026 from 6pm-8pm. Both Kraken and Siren will be participating in tournaments across Ontario that take place on various weekends below. Details for some tournaments are still pending.

Season fee: $300/player. Fees cover field rentals fees, tournament fees, Spirit Prizes for tournaments, and Ontario Ultimate and Ultimate Canada competitive membership fees. Season fee does not cover transportation or equipment, including footwear or jerseys/shorts. For budgeting, uniforms ran around ~$150 last year for players.
Registration help (for Parents):
To register a dependent in this program who is not in our system you must:
- Make sure that you have selected Parent/Guardian in your account profile. To check this go to your profile page and click the pencil icon to edit your profile. Then select “Parent/Guardian” from the list if it isn’t already selected, scroll to the bottom and click “submit”.
- Add a child to your profile.
- Select the child you would like to register to “Act As” them either from your home screen in Zuluru or in the link in the above paragraph which sits immediately under the league title.
- Fill out the registration on behalf of your child. Please note, that your child will also need a Youth Membership ($0) to participate, which will inlcude the completion of our waivers.
